In July 2011 hairstylist and makeup artist to the stars, Sophia Lenore, decided to make Berlin, Germany, her third home to accommodate her celebrity and socialite clients. Until recently celebrity hair and makeup artist Sophia Lenore spent her time flying back and forth between her two homes in New York City and Miami, Florida. “Now I just need a place in California” Sophia stated in an interview with Miami Very Social Magazine. Sophia Lenore is married to retired tennis player turned pro athlete trainer, Philipp Halfmann, whose busy tennis touring schedule greatly influenced Sophia’s decision to relocate to Berlin, Germany. “Both my schedule and my husband’s schedule were getting so chaotic. I was traveling all over the place for photo shoots, films, television shows, runways shows you name it! Phil’s schedule was just as crazy because he was spending 6 months in America and 6 months in Europe touring and training athletes. So, I thought, why don’t I just start working more in Europe myself?” So after making the decision to move to Europe 3 months later Sophia was on a plane to Berlin with 15 suitcases. “I never travel light”. Sophia laughs.

Sophia Lenore’s arrival in Berlin, Germany, was abrupt and noticed by many! “As soon as I arrived in Berlin I got so busy!! Suddenly I had new agents, new clients, several new projects, a slew of new hair and makeup assistants, and a new title to add to my resume”. Sophia Lenore is the new School Director as well as the Director of Education at Yab Academy for hair and makeup.

However Sophia finds the balance and never shows signs of being overwhelmed.” I will never allow myself to become so busy that my clients in America and Europe, who have grown dependent and accustomed to having me available to them, can’t even get me on the phone”. “I am always taking new clients, and signing on for new projects. If I am available and in town you can book me, there is no ego here”.

Beyonce is a beautiful woman with and without makeup, period! I am sure she has a very hectic schedule and life, which consists of world tours, films, commercials, performances, music videos, studio sessions, appearances and God knows what else. With such a busy life when can she make time to maintain and preserve her natural beauty? Easy, Beyonce keeps it simple.

Many people look up to celebrities not only for their talent but also for their beauty. Sometimes a celebrities beauty and good looks is attributed to make up and photo-shop; but we can’t deny that some celebs just look damn good naturally!  Beyonce has flawless skin and a curvaceous body. Even without any make up on, she still looks great and therefore proving that she’s a natural beauty.

We all has little beauty routines and secretes for looking good. Some might even have beauty secrets that they don’t want to share.  Thankfully, Beyonce love’s to share her beauty tips & secretes. Beyonce is feminine, stylish and is not afraid to experiment, so let’s take a look at some of Beyonce’s beauty regimens, as well some of her favorite beauty products.

“I feel it is important for women to take care of themselves and look good” -Beyonce.

“I believe in women sticking together and recognizing how much we can learn from one another, supporting one another and asking questions. If you think someone is beautiful, watch them and ask questions and see how you can do the same thing, as opposed to comparing yourself to them.” -Beyonce.

The fabulous Ms. Lauryn Hill is on tour in Europe, I had the honor and privillage of working with Lauryn and her background singers during their stop in Germany. I also had the pleasure of watching her kill it on stage after me and the rest of the hair, makeup and wardrobe team finished making Lauryn and her band beautiful. It was a wonderful night and a very memorable experience.

On Febuary 11th the world lost another pop ledgend. Iconic singer and actress Whitney Houston died at The Beverly Hotel in Los Angeles shortly before the 2012 Grammy awards ceremony. Like Michael Jackson, Whitney left the world in mourning and disbelief. There are some people who say that her untimely passing was inevitable due to her past, however I disagree.

The moment I heard about Whitney Houston’s passing I instantly thought of Michael Jackson.  Why did two iconic celebrities both on the verge of  a comeback suddenly die depressed, alone and addicted to  drugs? Why was the road they both took so similar? Why didn’t anyone see the signs of self destruction? Does society even care? Celebrities, we put them on a pedestal, worship them,  use them up, and then toss them to the side when someone new comes on the scene (even if the newbie is not as talented). We love a celebrity when they are hot and relevant, but why can’t we continue to love and support a celebrity when their down and in trouble. Unfortunately I think that there is something else at the root of this epidemic of fallen stars. Here is my observation between two of  the biggest stars in the world.

Although other celebrities have suffered the same fate as Michael and Whitney I have chosen to focus on the two biggest and influential celebrities that have ever lived.  Just to get some of you to ask yourself s, Why? Leave me your comments.
